hi there

lately after getting the front rotors and pads changed ive been noticing a noise, a screeching noise coming from the brakes...what is this? is it that the rear drums i think? need to be replaced too?

It's the drums, it may be adjusted too tight, I had the same noises coming from my drums. One way to check if it screeches is have parking brake on, while trying to drive about 1 to 3 feet, if ya hear it then it could just be the adjustment or needing new shoes

Could be a number of things. What type of pad/rotors did you have installed?

Could be the rear drums. One way to check... like tr1p said, or drive along and when you hear the noise, pull the ebrake just a bit until you start to feel it drag and listen to hear if the noise stops.

Well after I did my rear disk swap today (10 hours of grinding) I finally gotten rid of that noise, and found out that one of my ebrake cable is starting to seize up and one is cut off enganged to the drum which resulted overtime to wear off my shoes and it never dis engaged .

Did you ever pull up on your ebrake handle then to find after disengaging the handle it feels like there is tension. That started my cables seizing up on me resulting that noise I hear all the time
