Question brake line question

boys question for you

when i was connecting my stainless steel braided lines up to the hard line of my car.. i noticed that there was a little break fluid coming out from the top
i tried to tighten it.. it wont budge anymore

do you guys use Teflon tape before you thread it in?

any ideas?
thx

no teflon tape, you probably have the wrong thread on your SS lines.

Brake fluid eats just about everything, so be careful if you're going to use teflon, silicone, or Hondgasket... Maybe Forget is right.

Did you get ss lines specifically for your vehicle?

If so, they should thread on no problem. Make sure the fittings are all clean before you put them together.

you shouldn't need teflon. the seat of the connector not the thread is what keeps the fluid in there. if you got it to seal thats cool but not sure if mentioned about is true. brake fluid does eat everything.

you can go from full pressure to NO pressure. I would not be driving the vehicle as it sits. Not only for my safety, but for everyone elses.
