Exclamation Anyone heard of GP Racing wheels?

I've come across these rims at OptionJDM, but can't seem to find much info except from GP Racing Wheels

The rims under collection look very cool.

Does anyone know if these are made in Taiwan or China? and how do they compare to Rota as they seem to be similar in pricing. About $900 for a set of 17 inch wheels.

I've sent an email to Rich at OptionJDM with no success, and tried speaking with him but he's always unavailable when I call.

Anyone?

Go down to the shop and talk to him. If they have them in stock you can check them out.

Check out Tires23.com they have a Ton of rims in the showroom. They also are a sponsor of this site I do believe, they are great to deal with as well.

double check on the pricing.. I believe prices on optionjdm site is per wheel.. Original GP wheels are way more expensive than rota's..

Rota SDX is the replica/imitation of GP's GR-3.

And GP's GR-3 is also being used by Mugen.. There's no way the rota's are the same price..

Mugen GP Forged Wheel 17" - JHPUSA

I think your getting mixed up. My friend had a set from OptionJDM and that pricing on the site is for all four.. these are cast wheels, not 3 piece forged rims. And yea they are on the same level as Rota just a tad more expensive.

Yea your definitely confused.. The GP Racing rims are all cast NOT Forged like the Mugen you have posted. Like I said, the GP racing rim is inline with Rota and the rest of the cast family of rims.

i have a set ... GP wheels are made by YKW (it says so on the box) in Malaysia or Singapore. Check the GP website though i got mine from another member on tcc for 600 with maragoni tires. It was a really good deal...

hahaha. well i guess you guys are the ones misinformed... the one i posted is the original and if you say those from option jdm are the original mugen gp's then its up to you..:-)

All i'm saying is that the original is the "mugen gp" and knock offs are "gp racing". check the official mugen power website and compare to gp racing website.

if someone bought "gp racing" and was told it was the "mugen gp" then you were tricked.:-)

^LoL reread the thread.

No one said what you posted was anything but the Original, hell I was the one that pointed out that the real deal Mugen is forged and that the company the OP was asking about ONLY produces cast wheels.

OptionJDM is selling the knock-off .. rota style rims, as I also mentioned. No one is misinformed in here.

Either way, like I said, I know someone who has a set, someone posted in here that has a set.. no issues to speak of. Price is right and the selection is nice, grab a set and show us what you end up with.

I didn't know GP Racing knocked off the Mugen wheel - nice. And not made in China - that's a plus!

JDESOUZ - which GP wheel is that in your avatar?

One thing I notcied with GP racing wheels. I've seen 3 GR-3's and all three have slightly different shade of copper gold. but all looks wicked.:-)
