98 Brakes on a 90?
Looks like I may need to replace the brakes on my 1990 Civic Si.
I was wondering if I could take the rotors from my 1998 Civic Si and put them on the 1990. Figured I could upgrade the brakes on the 98' to something nice. Tried google and the search command.
Anyone Know? Thanks!

there are only 2 size rotors on Civics, 9.4 inch and 10.2 inch. so use a tape measure on the rotor, if they are the same, you can swap. that being said, IIRC the 90 Si had the smaller brakes. to run the bigger rotors, you need the 90 EX sedan knuckle.

Didnt the 98Si come with 9.4" brakes in the front and drums in the back?
could be wrong, bt as bbarbulo said, just measure both rotors and make sure they are the same size. if not, then cheap replacement rotors can be had very cheap.

Well, not really. I ran 93 (4bolt) Prelude rotors and calipers on my 90 CRX. I ovaled out the bolt holes on a drill press, (they center themselves when you mount them on the studs and on the hub) made a bracket and use the larger calipers. If anyone remembers my car they'll tell you it stop on a dime and gave change of a nickel and 2 pennys
