Why do you want 2 piston calipers? Is the car a race only car? Otherwise there will be no benefit whatsoever. Try upgrading pads to better quality ones.

Installed hawk hp+ on fellow members civic, and its like night and day. Also, flush the fluid, get some new dot4 brake fluid in there, it will help a LOT!

I here you, for the street you don`t need anything, even the stock pads I find are very good. I find ironic but refreshing that the bling of all bling cars and you saying to leave the brakes stock.
I do use this for a Race car. Stock with Integra Type R shocks and Civic Type R sway bar out back with ASG brace. Yes this is not the best setup for the track. It has a bit of roll LOL Did I say a bit.
Use Brembo blanks with Hawk DTC-60 pads up front plus flushed the system and use Ford HD Dot 4 fluid.
For OEM fluid, Ford is the best.
At Mosport GP you right HP+ would be fine, especially when you don`t use brakes in 1,2,3,4,8,10 (mainly just tape the brakes to settle the front down for corner entry) corner 5 and 9 you use the brakes , but there is lots of time for the brakes to cool down.
At the DDT Track at Mosport, now that’s a different animal.
It is very hard on brakes and tires.
20 minute to half an hour track session will destroy HP+ pads.
That’s if you drive hard, most guys tracking there car will do fine with just the Hawk HP+ and they don`t have to worry about changing your rotors and pads at the end of the day.
I install and remove my Brembo rotors and DTC-60 pads, there just for track days.
I have been going to the race track for about 15 years now and have lots of laps at these 2 tracks, did lots of Solo1 on the DDT but now I just instruct for track time.
Will the dual piston callipers help? Probably not. If I want better braking I should replace the hole system to bigger rotors and callipers. I also have installed brake ducts in front but when I come off the track at the DDT even after a cool down lap and driving in circles for a while my brakes are big time hot.
Have seen guys pull into the pits and a minute later you here a pimg and the guy’s rotor cracks or cracks and falls right off.
I just wanted to try and maximise what brakes I have at minimal cost.
Twin caliper would help out pressing the pad more evenly to the rotor and give a little more pad pressure and peddle feel.
I know I should back of a little and save the car, after all this is just lapping and it is my daily car LOL.
I have a dedicated track car but is not on the track this year. Motor issues.

With adding multiple piston calipers you'll find it will require more pedal travel when applying the brakes. A larger master cylinder may be necessary for proper operation and pedal feel.

Proper high quality rotors and pads with steel braided flex lines and dot4 fluid should be more than enough to handle lapping. Sounds like you drive more for lap attacks...lol.

You've already got brake ducts so you're pretty much doing all you can for the best performance with the OEM components. If they are working fine then I wouldn't bother changing them. They're gonna get hot, that's what happens. Perhaps you need to do a few more cool-down laps on the track before pulling off to get more airflow to cool them down.

Your right, I would have to change the master cylinder so I may just leave it be and if something brakes or melts LOL Them maybe put a proper upgrade but buy then hopefully have my real track car back.

PS Anyone want to learn at the big track GP, BMW is open to all makes, 2 day course
Good instructors, get the same instructor for both days.
And its not that hard on your car. Just need a good condition, mechanical sound car.
**** load of fun.
Next school is in SEPT.
approx $500 for both days

I hear ya, thats why I got into instructing a few years ago.
Found out I enjoy Teaching and get free track time for helping the Clubs with new drivers learn to track there cars
Only have had one dummy that thought it was more important to ask, (Should I get a Header for my car) while going through corner 4 and heading for the wall till I grabed the wheel. Mosport GP track.
Everyone else thought it was worth ever penny with a big smile on there face.
