With a 2" drop and Tokico Blues..

What is the maximum tire size I can run without modifications?
Looking for 15/16/17" dimensions.

Um, regardless of size of the rim, you should always try to keep the wheel diameter as close as possible to stock. So use a tire size calculator (just google it), and compare to stock tire size.

Thus if you keep same or close to the same wheel diameter as stock, you'll be good with whatever tire/rim size you go with.

I understand that. Right now I have 185/65/15 tires on steel wheels, which I am going to assume are 5" wide?
Just wondering with a drop how wide I could go before the tire starts to rub on shock or fender. I would probably up-size to a 16" alloy wheel.

That tire is too tall. I can't remember exactly, but I got 195/50r15s and that's as close to stock as you get.

The width is again determined by the ofset of the rim. 7" rim will work fine with stock ofset.

Oh damn, its 05. For some reason I was thinking ek. Don't even know why.

Well either way, just use tire calculator to size out the right tires. For 7" wide rim, 205 or 215 is good width. Tire rack has a guide that shows you the widest/narrowest tires you can fit on different width rim. Moreover, width will not be an issue unless you get a stupid ofset. What I believe is +37 (correct me if I'm wrong) you will be just fine.

Yeah, I'm not sure of the offset, but it sounds like as long as I match the tire with the width of the wheel and choose a sidewall size to keep the speedo in check, everything should be good. Thanks.
