z6 head question, broken valve cover threads inside head
Hey i bought a z6 vetc head off a guy and everything seemed to be okay till i noticed that one of the 5 bolts that holds the valve cover on, seemed to have the threads in the head broken off!
Wondering if anyone think this head is still good?

I had the same problem with my z6 head. Actually, mine had crack not broken off, still intack but the bolt wont go all the way in. so what I did was i put teflon tape on the bolt and put extra liquid seal between valve cover seal and head. Its working fine, no oil leak so far. Im still checking the head once a week.
I suggest you tighten the rest of the bolt good, buy new valve cover gasket/seal(if old one still good, use it) and put liquid seal between valve cover seal and head. That should save your cylinder head. Just keep checking for oil leak like once a week.
