TODA vs. SPOON Internals

I would like to know some opinions on which brand of internals to use in a K20A build for "All-Motor" (no boost). I have a heard that TODA and SPOON are some the best.

Does anyone have any experience with either? If so i would like to hear about it.

i would go with parts from endyn. jdm **** is overrated imo. my old shop had a spoon b18c5 and it was mostly massaged stock parts....the engine cost $13,000 cdn. waste of money when you can better stuff from the US for WAY cheaper.

Yup JDM crap is just a name....Some of it is good but most isn't worth it.

If you are going K20 then for a Header look into DTR/SSR, Hytech, Burns Stainless or SMSP...I'm running a 4-2-1 DTR/SSR Stainless race header, expect to pay though as your looking at about $1500 for any of those headers as they are custom built to your modifications. The quality on all of them is amazing.

For internals look into IPS, IB spec(import builders) or BC(Brian Crower) as from what I have seen they seem to make the most power.

Hytech can also do a complete package for you including cams, intake manifold, header and exhaust all made to work together but like said before expect to pay. John at Hytech knows his **** and has great customer service..I'm running his oil pan baffle on my roadrace car and when I called to order it he explained every trap door on it and how it works effectivly..now that's customer service.

Of all the VR6 powered Jetta's and Golf's that i have run into, i havent lost. Now i am presuming that they were the regular 2.8L VR's, i dont know if they were 12v or 24v, or even if the guy driving it was going full-throttle or if he wasent to hot of a driver.

I aint calling the 2.8L VR6 a pushover, but the case with most evenly matched cars going at it is that it really comes down to the driver himself. Now i know i have never run into a 3.2L VR6 such as in the R32 which i know is a different beast, but i still think i could give it a good run for it's money.
