JDM B20b In An EJ1

I had it in my 2000 hatch, definitely worth the upgrade from stock 1.6 liter. Pair it with ITR 4.785 FD transmission and a decent header and 2.5" catback and you are good to go.
Torque is great, and be able to enjoy 87 octane gas is even better.

I think im gonna go with a gsr tranny...and probably do an ls 5th gear.
Get an intake for it....header...and a catback system like you suggested.
Were you able to "chirp" the tires through gears? I've heard some b20's in certain cars can do that.

idk if you want to do itr or gsr tranny... my friend has managed to go through two gsr trannies already and he keeps getting 3rd gear problems. Another guy I knew here in london, bought a 94 gsr with an ITR head and GSR block paired with a ITR tranny and he went through 3 of them before he finally gave up and sold the car.

maybe they should learn how to shift properly?

I am not sure what FD the GSR transmission uses (simple google research can reveal that) but with stock B20B, you want to use shortest possible gear ration to keep the engine in power band (4k to 5k rpm) all the time. Hence stock ITR will do the job just fine. IIRC, GSR is a bit longer.
Tire chirping on the other hand, isn't a cool thing to do. It tells people that you engine has a little more power but you cannot afford good tires to put power to the ground.
When I use all seasons in winter, yes, you can chirp. And there is no point in doing that. But I run R-compound all day long in summer and I don't chirp.

^ b16... with the lsd.
Please keep in mind to save your syncros your suppose to have a pause when you change gears. ie pull it out of gear pause and put it in the next gear. This will have your syncros. The reason why so many people blow out gears is because they think these whopping 160 hp civics and tegs are race cars and slam their shifters as hard as possible. Of course your going to demo your syncros
