Idling Problem, Anyone Help Please???

Hi, I have a 98 Honda Accord Lx-G Manual. It starts up properly and It drives well on the road, the problem with the car is that when I put the gear into neutral to slow down at a stoplight while I brake, the car will die because the idler will go down to zero, (won't maintain that 1000 rpm on it's own). In order for the car not to die at a red light, I must give it gas constantly so it won't die on me.

Does anyone have any ideas what would be the problem that is causing my idler to go below 1000 rpm? Thankyou so much, any ideas would be great, thanks.

get someone to take a look at it... could be a fuel problem... vacuum leak... bad plugs/distributor.... o2 sensor... egr valve...

is there any vibrations when you start up the car as in like a misfire...any engine light?

I would scan the vehicle for codes first. No codes, clean the throttle plate, check for any vacuum leaks, and clean out electronic air control valve.
