been having this problem with the horn intermittently going off by itself, doesnt matter if the car is moving or just parked, as long as the engine is running the horn is honking.

thought at first the problem was related to a bad frt passenger power door lock actuator, I had it replaced, door lock works fine but horn keeps going off.

turning the car off then on again does not clear the problem, neither does disconnecting the battery overnight and reconnecting it

perhaps a bad ground wire?

is this a common problem on the 1.6ELs? I was told that the door lock actuator is a common problem on these cars and thankfully that was a cheap quick easy fix, hope this one is too

I used to have a VW Golf and they were known for having bad horns amongst many other things, a replacement aftermarket horn fixed the problem.

if anyone had any info on this problem for the Acura it would much appreciated

It could be a bad ground. But it sounds more, like you're shorting out somewhere. How's the fuse?

you're definately grounding somewhere. take off your plastic steering cover and check wires behind your steering wheel.
