Wow, didn't know the structural modifications were that extensive. Thanks for the info!

imported_GoldBadge 09-Nov-2005 08:26 AM

That's a cool diagram.

no problemo dudes. Back before I had a car, all I used to do was live and breathe the ITR. I loved everything about it. I gathered so much info and all of it stuck in my head.

Nova_Dust 09-Nov-2005 12:18 PM

Mostly in the rear section eh. That's some good info, thanks.

imported_Team Rukus 23-Nov-2005 10:56 PM

lets not forget the fact that the rebars were a part of the car too and it was actually a stabalizer of its own.

also the biggest difference from the itr jdm and the itr usdm is firewall didnt come with a matt, and no sound reducing deadners.

imported_Team Rukus 23-Nov-2005 10:57 PM

p.s the 98 model itrs for japan were heavier then its previous versions.

imported_GoldBadge 21-Dec-2005 09:16 AM

Do the Type R's have power windows?

Regardless of where they're from...???

imported_Team Rukus 22-Dec-2005 03:58 AM

yes they did.
but they didnt have sunroofs like the gsr's (top model)

also they came with HID after 98 so that added some weight (i believe it was still an optional item tho)

imported_GoldBadge 22-Dec-2005 09:49 AM

The HIDs and 5 Lug (rims, brakes) was what added a bit of weight I think.

That video is sweet, eh?

imported_Team Rukus 23-Dec-2005 09:09 PM

the video sure is lee:D

i always perfer the Honda DC2 over the North American badging.. just because of the front.. I like the JDM look rather then the 2 circle headlights..

Corolla 85?? nice car to drift with.. so depending on what I am goin to do with the car it's hard to choose from... I've seen some sick corollas in Best Motoring Japanese videos.. hehe..

imported_Team Rukus 24-Dec-2005 07:29 PM

i prefer the hachi roku over the hachi go

also not all jdm integra's came with the one piece headlights there are circle headlight integra's in japan too only the sir, sxi and type r came with 1 piece for the dc model.

The 86 with the S2000 engine...wow.

Seems like F20C is a propular engine for Toyota and Mazda. It is rather sad when you have to swap another manufacturer's engine.

OMFG that's funny. your 1st car should be a beater... nothing nice. you'll understand why after you get your license. get a dodge shadow or an escort.

imported_SilverSleeper 30-Dec-2005 10:47 PM

I agree.

My first car was a huge boat. A station wagon no less. When I got it I felt like a kid from the seventies getting his mom's Vista Cruiser.

I wish I still had it.

B18C5er 02-Jan-2006 10:55 PM

In JDMland, the 1993.5 - 1995.5 Integras came with the 'USDM' frontend. After that, 1-piece look came into production.

imported_Team Rukus 03-Jan-2006 01:38 AM

and thats because the japanese didnt like the circle lights. They liked the traditional 1 piece design over the dual circle design. this can be proven by looking at the sales of the integra model between the years of 93-95.

imported_kungfugrip 05-Jan-2006 11:01 PM

you can buy a JDM DC2 in north america and drive it legally? dont cars have to be 15 yrs or older before u can import them?
