Had the same problem on my winter beater last year. Drove untill empty filled it with 94 octane Sunoco and then bought and used a can of that never fail a e-test in a can they sell at CT. I made another apointment but drove the car for 30 mins on the highway and drove right to the e-test and passed no problem.

you bought the never fail e-test stuff!!!! I never use that stuff I just run the car with some Lucas in it then I take it for a drive pump some beats and if it still runs like crap after the first test and I fail again I do a tune up cuz If its been sitting for awhile you might have to just clean the contacts on the plugs too man. Gunk build up no good. Unless your cat is really bad but it sounds like you should just drive it around.

loll McGuyver
anyways that never fail e-test is not too bad. the only thing is, make sure you follow instructions and you drive it out. when i put it in my car, it was smoking black for a bit and you dont wanna do etest while its smoking black. so drive it out and it should work.
