Haven't been here in awhile, but WTF IS UP with the new hondas?
...they are f'in ugly.
What were the engineers and designers thinking when making this new design?
The back I can live with, but the front?
They must have lost a ton of people wanting to buy civics. They lost me.
Now i gotta try to hunt down a 2005 model.
Preferably new.

I don't know, my buddy who's a car nut and knows them all, from classics to imports told me something once and maybe he's right.
Every 15-20 years, car manufacturers go through a cycle where their designs are just ugly as hell. The sheet metal is wrong and nothing looks good.
Maybe this is the cycle?
I really don't like the way they look.
Like I said earlier, the front is hideous. The back I can live with, but that front looks like a pod of some kind.
Too much hood (if you know what I mean, can't explain it), but it seems so bland. The lights are okay I guess.
It's just downright f'in ugly.
Wonder if any dealerships in Toronto still have 2005's left.
Gonna start hunting for one.
D17/K20? no clue what that is, I'm assuming you're speaking of their internals?

Those numbers refer to the engine code. If your looking for a mint, low K 2003, I just traded mine in at Image Honda in Hamilton.
Personally I think the 2006's look much better then the previous generation. Each to his own though.

Yep exactly to each their own.
I just feel that they made the hondas too long also, if you compare it to the one you just traded in for.
How could you do that... haha.
But ya, I'm gonna hunt around for one soon.

You're right it is my opinion.
I don't follow the crowds or the masses, just because they're selling tons of them, doesn't mean I should get one to.
I can show you a few used 2006 Civics, real low mileage if you like.
My buddy got the Accord nice ride, gotta say.

It's funny, 'cause I have a 97 coupe, which I love(d).
The newer models from (i'm guessing '00 to '05"), I wasn't a big fan of, especially the sedans. With those rear lights placed near the corner of the car and trunk area.
But now I love them, they grew on me.
Silver with the honda tail on it. Perfect.
But like you said, to each his own.
But the new Honda's are just a little too big and too space age looking.
Retarded designers.

The coupes look good but I hate the rear lights on the sedans.
I think they did a good job with the Civic though, I see tonnes of them on the road and at the end of the day, thats what counts to Honda.

Never really noticed there was a difference in the rear lights on coupes and sedans.
I think it's 'cause the front half is so f'in ugly, that I can't help but keep staring at it. haha
Wow the coupes are worse, to me anyway.

this guy said it best..."futuristic sheet metal"...that's why I hate it.
Plus the front windshield is too long, it looks disproportionate.
Anyways, it's ugly.
