gsr seats vs. rsx seats

hey guys.. i have a 02 rsx.. will gsr seats fit in a rsx?? i used to have a 95 civic and the gsr seats fit in perfect.. just wondering if gsr seats will now fit in my rsx.. i actually prefer the gsr seats over my rsx seats.. but wanna know if they will fit or not befor i buy gsr seats or trade my rsx seats away...

p.s. does anybody wanna trade gsr seats for rsx seats if indeed gsr seats will fit into my 02 rsx with no mods needed.. thanks...

i dont get it...you want to replace your rsx seats with older gsr seats?

You will need to mod the seats to make them fit. The brackets on GSR seats are too long.

why would you want GSR seats in your RSX?

trying to reduce the value of your car?

i dunt plan on selling it anytime soon.. or even ever maybe...

yes thats what i wanted to do.. but i guess gsr seats wunt fit.. so there goes my plan out the window...

But the RSX seats are nicer, why would you want to anyways?

gotta swap the seat pans as far as i can remember same dealio with s2k seats

Don't scrap the idea because they don't just drop right in. Even if it takes some modification if those are the seats you want then make them work.

does anybody know of anybody at all who has done this swap?? so i know what kinda mods are involved to make the brackets fit.. thanks...

Nope. Not that easy.

It's not even that easy to put RSX seats in a GSR, to do that you have to grind the spot welds off the front brackets, drill out the huge rivits, rerivit into the correct spot then reweld.

To put the GSR seats in the RSX, you would have to make custom brackets as the GSR brackets because of the style of the bracket cannot just be cut and rewelded.
