Debating buying a '90 Teg Shell... Help?
Hey everyone,
there is a teg shell im interested in. basically its on coilovers, new brakes, new tie rod ends, suspension is basically new. new oem exhaust, newish paint. no rust. NO motor so i would be able to decide what to do powerwise with the car.
Im just wondering with these old teg's is there anything i should be looking out for? is it like a civic where almost all parts are interchangable?
Im thinking of making it a project car for next year to track. Basically all i think i should need is a motor and a nice set of wheels for it.
shell is 180 bucks with leather gsr seats stereo and everything except the motor.
just looking for opinions... i always wanted a nice project car. I will end up having to do the motor swap myself with hand tools no power tools.
What do you all think?
also most likely will go b series for power.
sorry also i could search but im at work and looking for first hand experience! but second hand helps too! thanks

integras come with B-series' from the factory, what else would you put in there lol.
$180 is dirt cheap, but make sure theres no rust everywhere (not just the body), those older tegs like to rust out underneath with our weather conditions up here. Check the brake and fuel lines.
i've always liked the DA's

Thanks for the input guys, ive decided against it because i would rather save my money for a downpayment on a house instead. Because i know that 180 dollars will lead to much more money being drained into the car. If anyone is interested here is the link to the guy selling, he is in brantford.

love how the seller's got to have a pic of him posing with the engine out...
I had several pics of my civic engine coming out - h22 going in, but I wouldn't post it on a sale, especially if the car is being sold without the engine..
lamer..
