B16A2 Head B18C block?

Is a setup with a B16A2 head and B18C block advantageous?

Am I going to notice any big gains?

Has anyone done this who can give me some advice?

thats called a poor mans Type R.

If its a GSR block, you'll actually be lowering the compression ratio.

Stock for stock, i'd prolly just leave the GSR head on it.

I dont have a GSR head. I have SIR so I have a B16A2, i was thinking of putting a GSR block on my stock head, I just wanted to know If it would be good.

ahhh, ok.

ya a GSR block is a nice step up from a b16a2 block. I'd do it, but what i'd do is use some b16 pistons in the GSR block with the b16 head, get some decent valvetrain and some Buddy club 4 cams (or whatever cams you prefer) and have a nice little n/a beast.
