2013 Acura RDX
What's New for 2013
The 2013 Acura RDX will be fully redesigned, getting a new look, a new engine, improved fuel economy and a revised all-wheel-drive system.
Introduction
For 2013, the Acura RDX gets a complete overhaul. A naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 engine replaces the former turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder, and Acura promises better power and best-in-class fuel economy from the new engine. We always welcome more power, although the former turbo-4 was no slouch. It made 240 horsepower, but did so at the expense of fuel economy. By comparison, the new V6 makes 273 hp. Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission, the new powertrain is expected to deliver 20 mpg city/28 mpg highway in front-wheel-drive models.
The new RDX will also offer the all-wheel-drive system from Honda's CR-V, retuned by Acura for better performance. Acura says the new system is lighter and costs less than the outgoing SH-AWD system offered in the 2012 RDX. It's probably a smart move on Acura's part, although the enhanced handling capabilities provided by SH-AWD helped the RDX stand out in this segment, and such will no longer be the case for 2013.

This new 2013 Acura RDX looks better and more refined than the previous model. It's also a lot better in person than those seen in pictures. It's sporty, fun to drive and handles great. What I like most about this car is its luxurious interior. If you seem to disagree, then see it for yourself..
