Hello, everyone i have a 1993 civic si everything is stock. it has 310,000 kms on the body and the previous owner put a newer engine in it with the tranny. The new engine and tranny he put in was a simple stock si engine 1.6L. as i was driving the car for the first time i noticed that it needed a new clutch and tranny, because everytime i would shift from 1st to 2nd the tranny would grind alot which means my syncros are bad. so on febuary 18/08 i went to jap auto parts in etobioke and i bought a brand new stage 1 Exedy Clutch and a low kms tranny all for $400.00. Everything was working fine untill today on my was home from school. For 5th gear it seems to pop out of gear and go onto Nutral its really weird. I dont know maybe its because its cold or if its a bad tranny i bought because my old one as bad as it was it never ever gave me that kind of problem so guys please help me out because i really love my civic lol thanks again

check the tranny oil level.
Last time i saw a car pop out of 5th it was low on tranny oil, filled her up and the problem was gone.

could be the tranny check the fluid then the linkage if all checks out it's your tranny i've seen it on really high mileage trannies it just wears out and pops out of gear
