Where you park really has no overall effect... SOME insurance companies give discounts for certain alarms install in the vehicle though. However, insurance rates are greatly determined by loss history in your area. If you live in an area where the insurance company you are with has experienced a high volume of claims, well, that will effect your insurance. So yes, the person living a block away from you can have cheaper insurance...

Just another example: I'm 27, drive a 2000 civic SiR (most stolen in canada), have 1 speeding ticket still on my record (comes off this November...YAY!) and I pay $175 per month for full coverage. That amount also covers insurance on my snowmobile (about $160 per year). So about $160 per month for just the car.

I've had my G for about 6-7 years now and live up north of stouffville. (Probably one of the main reasons it's that much lower.)

The company is Johnson insurance.

yeah it was after canada beat the US and won gold in hockey. i had maybe 3 beers. i got pulled over because the cop ran my plates and it said the car owned by a 55 year old man, he thought it was stolen. so he pulled me over, smelt my drunk friend and performed a breathaliser. i was sober. but theres 0 tolerance. thats why i didnt get a DUI because at the station i blew under .80.

it blows and ive had a lot of **** to deal with that could of been avoided. i always try and make sure to tell whoeever drinking around me not to drive because the things you have to deal with after is bogus.
