How high can you go?!

Greetings,

Hey there folks, I own a Ef hatch. Its generally a low riding vehicle because of its size. I purchased Skunk 2 pro suspension last summer, and installed it with polyurethane bushings in the control arms. I have a tration bar via Hy-tech header. The traction bar has a few chips with the header having a ding or two as well. I adjusted the suspension high as it can reach. I am able to fit 2 1/2 fingers in the front wheel well and 4 fingers by the rear. It's not enough and I wish to go higher'. Im sitting on Vx rims as well, which doesn't help. Is there anything more I can do different for this season, like maybe using force to adjust the height higher.

Have me know please, as I am not fund of riding low, and having a decent ride height.

Thanks for all positive feedbacks.

Cheers....

wants to go higher? does not compute...

Just kidding tho I really want an EF hatch to drop and swap. I'd bet your suspension can go higher but you'd be making the spring rate higher.

You say you have a traction bar via Hy-tech header, you mean you had to get a traction bar because the stock cross member didn't clear the header? I ad that issue with my tri-Y header but I notched the stock sub-frame instead of a traction bar. I wouldn't mind a traction bar on my car but I'm tucking 15's all around so clearance is an issue. My header is dented along with other parts of my car from being so low.

As for raising it the VX rims definitely aren't helping, nice wheels tho for what they are. I'd start off by getting a set of 15's for your Civic and see how that works out.

Sincere thanks for your positive input....I would consider taller size rims, but the tires I have are street tires that perform impeccably nice. If I use more of my strength to increase the ride height on my S2 coils, Would I be putting stress on the springs?!
I don't follow (understand) when you indicate that it will bring the spring rate higher.
Ultimately I wont be changing my tire rim selection for this season, I just put the two together according to my vision.

Thanks again. You are well knowledge, which goes along way in our builds, you've elaborated to me in the past on other threads. Thanks again....

Shorter rer upper control arms, and thin tires, not saying to do this cause your car sounds nice and not a chopped bucket. BUt ive seen someone cut and reweld their upper control arms and get thin thin tires so they can raise the car and let the wheels come in, the control arms deal with the excess positive camber. (not done on a street car)
