Could you guys help me out. I was wondering what civics are what, example: EG, EK, and what ever else. please also let me know the year aswell model. If wondering I don't have a civic I have an EL, well its the same ****.

Actually the EX is the equivalent of the 4DR Si here in Canada and the engine code for the 4DR Si (Canadian) I think is D17A2.

Just wondering how can I identify if the car is a real Civic SiR?
I know it should have a B16A2 motor but i cant really check the stamp on the engine, any other ideas?

Civic SiR will be dual overhead cam motor... the looks of the dohc and sohc are obvious.

thx for the reply man... but how can I tell if its a B16A2 motor not a D16A8 or A9 that came from a LS/RS teg? both are 1.6L engine and dohc, should i look for vtec? sorry if its a newbie question..
