Hello -

I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX 4 door with a problem with the power door locks. On the driver's side, when I push the lock switch on the inside driver's door, only the Driver's door lock will actually lock and unlock. I can feel the actuator doing something (but not locking or unlocking the lock) on the rear driver's side door. Whatever is happening, it seems to get less and less strong the more times I try to lock or unlock.

I cannot feel or hear the actuator doing anything on the passenger's side front or rear door.

When I try the keyless entry system, I get the same thing......

Any thoughts? Thanks for your help

Given that neither the driver door switch or the remote make them work, I'd say it's probably a security module issue. If it was only the drivers door switch I'd say check the wires at the door hinge, but since the keyless doesn't work either and I think the module for it is under the dash, I doubt that wiring is the problem. Possible but less likely. You could jump the connectors with some wires and a 9v to one of the locks and see if they pop, the actuators all failing at the same time is unlikely as well.

Thanks Dusty - I'll look into that. Guess I need to decide if it's worth spending $150 for the new part or not...
