All door locks are not working. Any idea?

Hi, I have a 2000 Acura EL 1.6 and all of the door won't lock or unlock using the remote or the switch. I heard of a door lock control module but I don't know were it's located or it that is even my problem.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks!

The remote entry/security control box sits under the driver's seat. Check the 2 plugs and wires for damage / broken wires etc. Check the fuse box for blown fuses as the door lock actuators seldom ever all go bad at the same time. No power to any of the 4 door switches or to could be broken wire also.
Door lock actuators could be seized/ rusted motors as this is a common DLA problem.

Ya, I just looked under there. There is no module, just 2 connectors coming out from under the carpet. I guess the previous owner took it out. Damm!

Does anyone know were I can find one online? Or if I can use one from a same year civic from the junk yard?

Thanks for all the help!

Sometimes it takes a few days for questions to be answered...hang in there, Cadilac1000--someone will probably be able to address this issue for you soon.

Check the scrap yards or here in the for sale parts section. You should be able to post in the "wanted to buy" section. It is better to get the correct 1.6 EL module as I have never seen, on the Canadian civics, 96-98 / 99-2000, the elect./keyless remote trunk release feature which also ties into the module that is missing from your car.
Check the 2 plugs under the seat to be sure that the connectors/ wires are not hacked up or damaged also.
