Did your car battery die lately, or was the car very hard to start...ie.....almost sounded as if you had a drained battery? If yes, the alarm might of restet to it's factory presets due to low or no voltage from the car's battery.......but without knowing what kind of alarm it is, I can't really help you. (quite a few Honda dealers use an aftermarket alarm as a factory option.) If the car came from the factory with the alarm already installed, then you have a true Honda factory alarm (made by Alpine?). If you got it installed from the dealer, most likely you have an aftermarket one (Code Alarm or an LS 100.........but they also used others). Factory remotes should have a Honda logo somewhere on it......aftermarket ones will not. (but this is not always true)

Double check to make sure it's not a blown fuse. Find the brain, and follow every single wire from the brain, and check where they lead to. You might have missed a fuse somewhere.

BTW, the alarm you posted, kinda looks like a Radio Shack speacial. (front controls).

It has the Honda logo on it and Made In Japan. I bought the car from this one guy and it came with the car. My battery died in December.

Just because it has a Honda logo on it, doesn't mean that Honda made it. They get stuff made for them by different companies....like Clarion, Alpine...ect...

Without nowing the model #, I can't really help you.

I would try going to the dealership, and ask if they have the manual for the alarm. If they don't, then the big fat book the mechanics use, should have that info in it.

ok somehow when i went out to my car and try to hook the alarm back up, the 12v wire seems to be missing, i can't find it. I think my bro did something to it, when i asked him where it was at he said he forgot. Where can i get this 12v wire? the alarm doesn't work because there isn't any power to it. The other wire for the long rectangle in the picture is there, so all i need is the 12v for the little square (see picture with red circle).

So do you need just ONE wire, or do you need the whole that goes into the hole you circled?

If you need the plug, try going to Alpine, because that looks like an Apline alarm brain to me.

If you need just ONE wire, you COULD try soldering it to the contact, but I would also advise you to get the plug.
