It will but you need to relocate the cat because the stock manifold on the y7 has the cat up front. The other manifold in question (from an si) does not have the cat which is mounted down under the car.

And i believe if you just use d16y8 header, downpipe and cat its not the same length as d16y7

B16a2 is not an Si motor. It's an SiR motor.

Correct me if I'm wrong. All D-series engines are interchangeable when it comes to parts. For B-series the b18 and b20 are interchangeable, the b16, b17 and b18-R are interchangeable, the gsr is the outcast as nothing is interchangeable with this. Hope this helps.

^You are mostly correct.

Just to clarify further:

All d-series sohc up to 2000 have interchangeable blocks and heads and associated components (vtec and non-vtec). D-series dohc are different. 2001 to 2005, I'm not familiar with.

All b-series dohc have the same block casting, including the gsr. The b20 is the only one with a larger bore. All b-series dohc vtec heads (b16, b18 type R and b17) are nearly identical with some minor differences (b18 type R head flows better) and different cams. The gsr head is a one-off b-series vtec head that fits any b-series block but does not share any manifolds with the other vtec b-series heads. The non-vtec b-series heads (b18a/b and b20) share no components or manifolds with the vtec b-series heads.
