Is there a difference between a tranny flush and just changing the tranny fluid?

Is there a difference between a tranny flush and just changing the tranny fluid?

with just a change yer only getting the fluid in the pad and a bit out of the valve body when the filter is dropped..
with a flush yer getting all the fluid in the torque converter as well and any little bits that are travelling around will be removed also..

oops..that should be "pan" not pad..
