when you can get a B with light mods ie i/h/e and get 200whp

-Not NA you can't. To reach 200whp with an NA b-series (like I've already explained earlier) takes a lot more money and a lot more work then most people think.

so ultimatly the B series motor has greater potential

thats why im leaving my d alone till i have enough cash for my B swap.
altho having a pimped out D thatl blow a stock B awap is pretty cool, untill you line up with the pimped out B thatl blow that stock k swap LOL
Yes the b motors have more potential. But the OP is only after 200whp or so. That is totally do-able and will cost less to reach with a d motor, if you already have a d in your car.

I have a feeling this debate is just going to keep going and going...lol.

People, before you post again, read some of the responses by Mike or me and whoever else agreed with d-series option.

No point in trying to push other cars, k or b series through.

Im not saying anything is better than anything else, but d>b>k is kind of limited

d is > all if you want
cheap
low-mid hp (70 hp in the b8 through 130 in the d15b/d16z6, with potential of 220 hp with limited work)
good gas milage

b is > all if you want
cheapish
low-mid-high hp(depending on the b, ranging from 130-220 hp, lots of potential depending on cash flow)

k is > all if you want
Larger supply of current motors
low km
a motor with a future
low-mid-high hp(same as b)

Regardless of which motor you choose, just remember, its a honda, theres ridiculous amounts of aftermarket support.

^ that looks like a decent setup for that money, i'll get in contact with him for sure. what kind of results would you see from a z6 if this application was used? any rough estimates? assuming you're running 6psi

Just don't use that manual boost controller, or any manual boost controller for that matter. Unless you want boost spikes, boost creep and general inconsistent boost...

Use a proper high-quality electronic boost controller that will be compatible with your engine management system/setup.

I dont get why people are saying swap a b in your goals are easily met with your stock d or if need be a fresher d series engine

@boing:
Please use grammer when replying to anything in life. I guess that's what happens when you write at 0506h.

B's can hit 200whp. D's can hit 200whp. K's can hit 200whp. Hell, I can hit 200hp.
l.d. Forget kinda said it best, any engine can hit any power amount, it all depends on the coin you're willing to shell out.
