I hate to be all google is your friend here but look up the wiring diagrams for this, it's out there. I think you connect 2 wires and leave the middle one taped off, sorry I just can't remember which goes where exactly. You're also gonna have to wire a ground for VTEC, which is easy, the black on the solenoid to ground anywhere on the motor works. Then 2 wires thru to the ecu, again google what goes where but one for the VTEC pressure switch and the other is the solenoid.

You'll also have a connector left over for the knock sensor from your old motor, you won't need this with the p28. I don't know what emission testing is like in your area but you might wanna look into this before you do anything. Here it's ok because cars 97 and older just have a exhaust sniffer test, but if your cars 98+ then they need to have the correct ECU or it'll fail. I'm sure you already know but just in case, you need a conversion harness to plug the ECU into your cars harness.

Check out http://ff-squad.com/immortal.htm

should have the wiring info you need here I think

sounds like once the car goes into open loop it starts to have issues, possible o2 sensor issue?

you need to run the iat wires all the way to ur ecu, find what connectors they r on the ecu and you will need the little metal prongs to put into the plastic connecters. same with the vtec solinod, and pressure switch, or ur gonna throw a code and vtec wont work, i doubt the 96 wire harness will line up right with the p28 ecu.

It recently started doin this when i installed the d16z6 intake manifold i swapped out the injectors wired vtec(it engages lik normal) engine revs good, changed sparked plugs to the correct ones, cleaned iacv and fitv the only problem is at idle and its driving me nuts. Idk if its the o2 sensor cuz it was working fine with the old manifold. Unless the oxygen sensor im using now isnt the right one but its a 4 wire plug? Thanks 4 ur help maybe theres sumthing i missed tho. Ill post a video soon

O and the distributor and spark plug wires, starter and the battery are only a yr old so i kinda ruled that out being a possibility. The only thing i can fhink of is a stupid vacuum leak

hmmm i only guessed o2 bc you said its fine untill it warms up meaning going to open loop so it takes o2 sensors into account, what is a fitv?. maybe something with iacv, does it plug into the 96 harness ok? same 3 wire?or 2?. did i read some where the z6 IM has cold ports somewere that need to be plugged? cant remember.on front of mani. maybe as simple as a gasket leak in the IM to head.

Fitv-fast idle valve it conrols the idle wen warming up. I checked everything and the wiring its all good. Idk about plugging anything on the IM every port is connected with a vacuum hose. I even installed the purge solenoid thinkin it might fix my problem but it didn. Before i installed the purge solenoid valve it wud idle low n stall sumtimes. Now since i installed it it still idles rough but at least it doesnt die. It kind of feels lik it sputters wen its idleing lik a misfire or sumthing. But im still a noob and its hard 4 me to pinpoint whats causing this

Well new or not, check the plugs. wires, dizzy just to be sure. Try pulling off one plug wire and see if that changes anything, more miss, good no change, that ones the problem. Go thru one at a time to eliminate that for certain. If you do have a problem, then try spraying water on the wires, and run the motor in the dark. You'll see sparks if the wires are bad. Maybe check the resistance of them as well if no sparks visible. I don't know off hand what the values should be but they're all fairly similar length, if one is way different resistance then the others, it's probably the problem, or at least one of them.

As for vac leaks, get a can of brake cleaner and spray that around the IM and see if that makes the engine bog/stall. If so the area you sprayed, is leaking.

look at your TB, the IAC is on the back of the intake manifoldm the FIT-V is under the TB, you'll see on the firewall side a cap held down with a pair of small bolts. Remove that cap (maybe take the FIT-V off to be easier to work on, dont' remove the coolant lines, just let it drop down a bit so you can see inside) and there's a brass finger inside with a white ring on it. Turn that ring down, maybe take it out and put a drop of blue locktite on first, then put it all back together and see what the motor does...

Thanks man you been alot of help ill hav 2 try that im still tryin 2 figure it out i got it to idle sumwat fine now but idle now drops n almost stalls out its frustrating. You wouldnt by any chance no wat crankshaft pulley i can use wit the jdm d15b would u?? Im thinkin of just doin an overhaul on my engine since wen i bought the car the swap was already done so idk wat dey did n didn do. Iv heard the b7 will fit and the pulley marks line up exactly but i also read that the z6 fits n sum conflicting stories bout that 2.
