Difference between 99-00 SIR rear lip vs Type-r rear lip
I was hoping I could get some help differentiating the 2 in terms of looks..... is there even any difference? I know the type-r in the front is a little bigger and flared, but the rear.... which is which?
Tried searching on the forum but no luck and google just keeps showing type-r rear lips. Pics would help too.
Thanks for the help

Type R is not "flared", SiR and Type R are the exact same lip, same part number, same everything. It is the replica version that has slightly different look, hence, people believe the two look different.
CTR rear lip is unique to the hatchback only, SiR rear lip for the coupe is obviously different. Best way to look is mounting points, OEM always come with 5 to 6 mounting plates along the lip, unlike almost all replica version, which is taped in the middle and 2 screws on either side.

what? thats interesting, I never knew they were the exact same.... would've never guessed in a milllion years
obviously finding an oem rear lip is pretty hard.... what would be a good place to buy a decent replica with good fitment? why do they always call it the CTR rear lip even for coupes? and is there any difference between the oem and replica in terms of design
and sorry for posting this in the wrong section..... haven't been on for a while, infact first time posting since the changeover and so I thought the discussions was appropriate after reading the description.

also genuine CTR lips for hatchs cant be mounted on a regular bumper without modifications because there are clips and holes in the bumper almost like sideskirts very hard to find and very rare to find them both , I have an OEM rear lip for sale its for coupes like mentioned above pm me if interested, there is no real difference between the two besides quality such as abs( plastic replica lips ) and polyurathane ( OEM more durable = more expensive and fit better ). All dpeend son ur budget mostly there is a rear CTR bumper and lip for sale on JDMR going for roughly 350 which is a good rpice for genuine CTR lip and bumper
