Did everyone who did this drain the oil first or does it matter? I loosened the bolts holding down the valve cover and oil started to leak through so i bolted it back down haha

You don't need to drain the oil. I just did this last week. How much oil was coming out? It was probably just because your gasket is shot.

not that much .. it was probably the oil thats on the cover and leaked out cause there was a gap from the gasket.. i didnt have anything covering the driveway so i didnt want anything to drip

going to attempt to paint the cover next week heh

Looks good! My bf and I are going to try it with his B16a valve cover. Anyone from Burlington/Oakville/Missisauga know where I can buy VHT paint closer to home?

I went to Crappy Tire today to look for the paint. Saw the VHT caliper paint, and high temp paint, but didnt see this red wrinkle. Was wondering if it's supposed to say "red wrinkle" on it, or am I just being an idiot? lol...
