D.I.Y EG/EJ Fuel Killswitch
For this tutorial we will be installing a fuel cut-off switch. Even if thieves break into your car and have a universal honda key to start it, the fuel pump will not feed any fuel to the engine, so they won't be able to run the car.
Tools/Materials Needed:
All Honda/Acura seats have one or two 10 mm bolts through a wire loop holding the rear lower seat cushion down. Remove that with a deep socket or extension, then pry from the back corners first and unhook the front.
At the fuel pump is a plug with several wires. Most Hondas/Acuras use yellow and a stripe for the fuel pump wire. Set your digital volt meter to 20V DC, put the red probe to the suspected wire, then ground the black probe to the chassis. I used the door hinge in this example. Put the key on without starting the engine. The voltage should jump to 12 corresponding with the whirring of the fuel pump, then drop to 0. Start the engine, the voltage should jump to 12 volts. Shut down the engine. The volts should drop to 0.
For our car (92-95 civic) it should be a yellow, or yellow and green wire. It can be located under the rear seat, and all along the drivers running board.
From here, you will need to take your switch and find a place to put it (anywhere hidden). I don't want to specify where, because you should put it where you are most comfortable having it. You must not exceed 5 ft of wire addition to the fuel pump power wire, or you will need to run a relay. Once you find a place for your switch, attach your wire and solder and needed. Splice into the power wire we previously found, and solder into that. You will want to use heat shrink, and then wrap your connections in electrical tape after.
Then you can re-assemble and your done! Really it can be a pain in the ***, but whats worse, reaching for that switch every time you park your car, or having your car stolen?
The key word in this install is STEALTH, so be as "stealthy" as you can. The better you do of hiding the switch, the better chances you have of a thief not finding it.

- Wire Strippers
- Solder
- Soldering Gun
- Heat Shrink
- Electrical Tape
- Ratchet With 10mm Socket and Extension
- Volt Meter
- 18 Gauge Wire
- A Switch Capable of 25A and AT LEAST 25V

Thanks man. And addition to my alarm it definitely makes it safer for sure. I was considering the GPS unit, but i'm not sure about that yet. I know i don't have money for it right now

great diy bro, for the past like 2 weeks i have been without my rear seat lol... (wiring subs).....(delay in $$)...(

i'm doin this soon since the damn thing is in plain sight and would take me 5 minutes...
but just wanted to know... do i have to use a multimeter on it... i mean... it should be pritty clear which is pos/neg right..

meh true.. but im pritty sure that innterupting the ground also would work as it it still breaking the circuit when the switch is off right... meh i dunno i jsut wanted to make sure, and hassle ya.... im probably gunna end up doin it anyways haha

it would but the way i did it i just chose the power one. might as well do it while its apart

you should definitely spend the extra 10 minutes and do it
good call, and yep it is the easiest and fastest mod i have done to my car, and one of the most effective!
totally agreed 
you could also find a cheaper alarm with ports to wire into, so you can get a tilt sensor and proximity sensor, then tow-trucks will set it off too.
