Starter and flywheel rotation

Starter and flywheel rotation
I will try to get my question across without giving too much information it gets confusing.
I am working on a project, an air cooled aircraft type motor and I need a starter and flywheel for it. The flywheel and starter I hope to use would be a 1992 Civic automatic.
I want to tuck the starter in beside the motor like a normal setup. My question is does this 1992 1.6 ltr starter turn the right way for this application?
Below is a photo with the flywheel drawn in yellow and the rotation marked in red. This view would be looking at the flywheel from where the starter would mount. I've had all kinds of answers to this question and I've been told the starter on these motors are mounted on the transmission side so I'm looking for a definite answer before I spend the money on these parts.
I'm not posting any directions on purpose because it gets confusing depending on where you are looking at the motor. If you have a question about viewing it from a certain angle I can answer it it will help. Thanks in advance.

The starter on the 92 mount on the trans side, with the motor on the drivers side of the car. The motor in these civics all turn counter clockwise. Which would be clockwise when looking at it from the flywheel side of things. That means the starter would rotate in a counter clockwise direction regardless off where its mounted. Your pic shows the starter going clockwise.
