My B20VTEC Turbo Build

Hey All,
My Name is B and I've been trying to make appearances around the forum. I've got pictures of my CRX project in the Gallery here, or simply check out 'My Albums'.
History
When I purchased this CRX, it was a Turbo Charged B16A1. The gentleman I bought it from was the 2nd owner of the CRX, and the guy before him babied the thing. Steven(2nd owner), was in love with the nissan 240sx and it came in a Metalic Orange, so at his friends shop they desided to paint the CRX the same colour as the 240SX. Not my favourite colour, but not only did they do an amazing job painting, it does start to grow on you. Steven was an apprentience, but changed careers, started a family, and started doing family things; getting married, buying a house, and then having a beautiful baby boy... Steven ran out of room, and the car had to go.
When I got the car, it's transmission was 'stuck' in 5th gear. Steven(later) told me about it having a bushing problem in the rear control arm. Steven had done lots of work to the CRX, and kept it in MINT condition. It went from a stock CRX, to a B16A1, then to a B16A1 Turbo Charged. On the dyno tune, the CRX hit an amazing 197whp w/ stock internals @ 7psi. But once Steven broke his transmission, the car got parked, and Steven had no time to repair it.

Sold: $3250 Turbo 1990 Crx Si B16A1

So I bought a used transmission (YS1) from loco_rides here on TCC. Then I eBay and found a Quaife LSD for the YS1. My Goals were set out for a 300whp CRX. I have changed my mind a million times desiding what I wanted, what is better, why 'blank' won't work, why 'blank' is a smarter way to go... Here's where I'm at right now, indepth.

Current Setup:
Head: B16A1 resurfaced
Brian Crower Retianers & Dual Springs
GS-R Cams
Toda Cam Gears
Golden Eagle VTEC conversion ARP Bolts
Stock Valves
EdleBrock Victor X Intake
Hondata Gasket
Edlebrock Throttle Body & TPS

Block: B20B resurfaced
Wiseco 84.5mm 8.2:1 dished pistons
Eagle Rods H Beam
ACL Race Bearings (Might not fit, machine shop is checking)
New Honda Oil Pump that fits B VTEC blocks
New Honda Water Pump and Timing Belt T22
Customed CNC block guard from Gord Bush
Eagle Girdle w/ ARP Bolts
Moroso Oil Pan
Stock Crankshaft, knife edged and Balanced

Turbo:
GarretUnknown
Unknown Piping/AirCooler
TiAL Waste Gate
HKS or TiAL Blow Off Valve(not sure, looks like HKS)

Fuel:
Walbro 255lph Fuel Pump
Injectors 680cc Percision Low Independance(Peak/Hold)
Hoping to tune at 94 octaine

Electronics:
AEM EMS #30-1040U (Wide Band O2 sensor)
AEM TruBoost Gauge
GM 3bar MAP sensor
Wiring OBD0 to OBDI xenocron

Drive Shafts:
The Drive Shaft Shop level 2.9 (475hp)

Transmission:
Ys1 Stock
Quaife LSD
Compition Clutch 6 Sprung Clutch Stage 4-5 I think(Boost applications)
Fidanza Flywheel 9lbs(too light, but what ever) <-- Gord Suggests Stock Flywheel, then machine it.

Mounts:
Avid Mounts

Suspension:
Steven Left stock shocks, but ebiach springs I think. (Tein SS next year)
Front Integra Lower Control arms
Rear Skunk2 Lower control arms (That'll fix my bushing probelm)
Rear Skunk2 Chamber kit
Braced in the front crazy like

Rims:
I just picked up 15" Konig Heliums with Zein rubbers from Typerboi here on TCC. Great guy, terrible at telling time. Next year I will be using Enkie 15" 9.5lbs rims, white.

Misc.:
Short Shifter, to be changed to Skunk2 Dual Bend.
****, want something Momo
Pedals, soon to be momo, from my wife.
Steering wheel, Stock
Seats, Stock, mint
Stereo, Outdated JVC, speakers all Alpine Type R... maybe next your I'll update

Getting a Head ache from the laptop... I'll update this as I continue on my journey.

I have to give a huge big up's to:
Lightning Motor Sports in LA(Mike and Tom). Great Customer Service! Slow to emails, Fabulous on the Telephone!
Rick at Garage16.ca email Always has his blackberry on him! Supplied me with my pistons and rods.
eBay... So many to thank, if you need authentic parts, I'll PM you my suppliers.
TCC: Many questions Have been answered, thanks Zeeman and Chris_v2
Gord Bush from gord bush performance. Doing all my machining and rebuilding the engine for me... Though, he is swamped!
Neetronics, talked me into bigger injectors(440cc to 680cc) Andy @ 416 848 0653

Keep ya posted!

I'm hoping to use boost around 14-16psi for a 'safe daily driver'. My Biggest concern(sp?) is my turbo... I'd hate to get it all tuned, then fail short, and have to re tune a new turbo...

I'm doing everything I can to get it done this year. Gord is booked solid, so my engine 'might' be built by july 23rd or possibly later. Which was an unexpected setback for me. Then Andy from Neetronics is booked for 2 weeks solid, and Saturdays for months... I figure once I get the engine back, I'll book Tune, install the engine, then get it toed for the tune. I would be extremely happy to get it on the road this year. Then I could rebuild my B18C ITR(winter beater)

UPDATE:
Car didn't make it t the road in 09', will make it for 2010. My Goal is May!
Changing from 680cc to 1000cc injectors. I didn't think 680 would reach my goals.
Also, I took Gord Bush's advice, I gave gord my B16A1 Flywheel. It's much heavier, so Gord is Taking some weight off, resurfacing, and giving it a balance! Thanks goes out to Gord for Squeezing me in his busy schedule!

Well... Maybe this year will be the year...

Car is so close to being put back together, yet so far away! I cannot wait to get this car to Andrew at High Velocity Tuning!!

Also, if I setup a play date, would anyone be interested in helping me put this car together?

Located in Norwood.

B20VTEC not LS VTEC

it's low compression, so it wouldn't be very good as a NON Turbo engine... probably drive like a ford torus or something to that nature.

Costs... $2200 from Gord, Plus: BC TI retainers and Spring, B20VTEC Conversion, Moroso Oil Pan, ARP Bolts, Eagle Rods, Wiseco Pistons, ACL Bearing, 640cc Injectors, Lightened Fly, Stage 3 or 4 Clutch (I forget now), Edle Brock Intake Manifold, Edle Brock Throttle body, and the Hondata gasket.... to name a few things.

I could probably dig up a list of things I bought from lightning in an email, too...

I guess my add should be, Buy this engine AND RECEIVE A FREE MINT CRX!!!!
But it's not.. lol
