Car start with dead battery. how?

How do u start car with manual transmission if battery dies?
the push method...

Have it in neutral , push it so it gets rolling then pop it in 2nd gear and crank it over.

yeah, go inside the car while its being pushed along, make sure your key is in the on position, drop the clutch while your cars in second gear

i thought 3rd gear was less harsh on the tranny

u don't crank it over, u leave the key in on position -ignition on -

u dont' turn the key, u just drop the clutch , and it should fire up

i usaully use the 2nd gear

i thought this only worked if your starter died...not the battery

listen to the polak, our serenki always died had to push start those bad boys,...hehe...

ive done it a couple times on my buddies civic when his battery was dying, we just dropped the clutch in 1st gear and he was off, worked like a charm every time.
