Hi, I own a 99 tl and have a few minor issues and looking for some help

1- the temp gauge instantly rises to full hot even if the car has been sitting for a day or two...is this a cluster problem or my temp switch@the t-stat housing?
car is not overheating or anything like that.. disconnected the switch @ t-stat and still reads hot...

2- right side headlight (HID) is dimmer and actually a different colour(slight purple) from the drivers side....is this the ballast or the bulb on its way out? Acura wants $250 just for the BULB!

3- tranny(4 speed auto) bangs gears...lol..shifts are hard most of the time under normal driving conditions...does not like to change gears @ all when it cold...will stay in 1st for some time and then slam into2nd...tried lucas....no result...dont want to hear tranny replacement please...looking for a trick or "fix" before having to replace if needed

as a owner of a 2003 A spec i had the same problem last year tranny was slamming into gears unfortunately there isn't a easy fix for this your gonna have no choice but to replace/fix the tranny or just get rid of the car

ps tranny runs between $2500-$3500 not worth it in my opinion
